“จิมมี่-ซี” การแสดงและตัวฉันที่เหมือนอยู่กันในโลกคู่ขนาน

ขึ้นชื่อว่า โลกคู่ขนานแล้ว อย่างไรก็ต้องมีจุดมาเชื่อมโยงกัน เพราะหนึ่งในนี้บอกว่า มีบางมุมที่เป็นจุดร่วมกันโดยบังเอิญ ทำให้คุยกันถูกคอมากขึ้น จิมมี่และซีเลยขอคลี่การทำงานระหว่างกันในเรื่องและตัวตนของคนทั้งคู่ที่การันตีได้เลยว่า คุณจะรักในความเป็นเขาอย่างสุดจิตสุดใจเลยแหละ
บังเอิญ โลกกลม และฟิตเนส
ซีเปิดบทสนทนาถึงการโคจรมาเจอกัน ข้อสังเกตที่เราค้นพบคือ ทั้งคู่เจอกันในคลาสการแสดงและได้รู้ว่า แสดงคู่นั้นเดี๋ยวนั้นเลย ซึ่งซีเองก็ยังเดาทางไม่ออกว่า เคมีระหว่างกันจะเป็นอย่างไร
“ตอนที่ผมเห็นเฮียจิม มีข้อมูลแค่ 2 เรื่องครับที่รู้คือ เป็นหมอและรุ่นพี่เราเยอะมาก และดูจากภายนอกแล้ว ไลฟ์สไตล์น่าจะไม่เหมือนกันด้วย แต่ก็เป็นเฮียจิมนี่แหละที่เดินเข้ามาหาก่อนแล้วบอกว่า ปีหน้าเราคู่กันนะ ผมตกใจนิดนึง ไม่คิดว่าจะเป็นคนใกล้ตัวขนาดนี้”
คนใกล้ตัวเลยเริ่มสำรวจมุมของกันและกัน และสิ่งที่นึกไปเองว่า ไม่มีอะไรเหมือนกัน แท้จริงแล้ว อาจไม่ใช่ซะทีเดียว ซึ่งจิมมี่เสริมความบังเอิญที่เจอได้น่าสนใจมากว่า…
“พอรู้ว่าผมได้แสดงคู่กับน้อง สิ่งแรกที่ทำคือ คุยและทำความรู้จักกันให้มากขึ้น และเจอบางมุมแบบไม่ได้ตั้งใจว่า ทั้งผมและซีออกกำลังกายและเล่นฟิตเนสเหมือนกัน แง่มุมตรงนี้เลยถูกต่อยอดให้เป็นประเด็นการคุยร่วมกัน ซึ่งเอาจริง ผมดีใจนะที่ยังมีมุมคล้ายกันบ้าง (หัวเราะ)”
การแสดงและความกดดัน
ถ้าการค้นพบตัวตนเป็นโลกคู่ขนาน การแสดงก็น่าจะเป็นโลกคู่ขนานอีกใบ จิมมี่เองก็เป็นหมอ ซีเองก็ใหม่มาก แม้จิมมี่จะผ่านซีรีส์ ‘แค่เพื่อนครับเพื่อน’ มาแล้ว แต่สำหรับ Vice Versa เหมือนเริ่มต้นใหม่ทั้งหมด โชคดีที่เขาได้เทคนิคบางอย่างจากเรื่องนั้นมาใช้ในการแสดงของตัวเอง
“บอกก่อนว่า ผมไม่ได้เรียนจบมาทางนี้ ประสบการณ์คือกำลังตั้งไข่ แต่ ‘แค่เพื่อนครับเพื่อน’ ทำให้ผมได้สังเกตคนรอบข้างเยอะมากๆ นี่คือสิ่งที่ผมได้เรียนรู้จากการทำงานตรงนั้น ตัวผมเองมีคติอยู่อย่างหนึ่งคือ ชีวิตคนเราเกิดมา ไม่มีเวลาลองผิดลองถูกไปหมดทุกอย่าง
“การได้ซึมซับและศึกษาจากคนที่เขาทำมาแล้วหรือทำสิ่งนั้นดีอยู่แล้วอย่าง ‘โอม-นนน’ ที่ก็มารับเชิญให้เรื่องนี้ด้วย มันยิ่งทำให้ผมเห็นทางการแสดงมากขึ้น มีไกด์นำทางชัดขึ้น และนำมาปรับใช้ในรูปแบบของเราเอง”
ตอนนี้ GPS การแสดงของจิมมี่น่าจะเข้าที่เข้าทางแล้ว แต่สำหรับซี ‘พี่เอ็กซ์ -ณัฐพงษ์ มงคลสวัสดิ์’ ผู้กำกับของเรื่องมองว่า เป็นคนที่มีความตั้งใจสูง จนบางครั้งก็กดดันตัวเองมากๆ เลยไม่แน่ใจว่า เพราะเป็นเรื่องแรกเลยทำให้มีความกังวลมากกว่าปกติ
“ผมอยากทำให้มันเต็มที่จริงๆ ไม่อยากมานั่งเสียใจทีหลัง ผมเลยเตรียมพร้อมกับทุกๆ อย่างที่เกิดขึ้น จนกดดันตัวเองในบางมุม แต่ดีที่พาร์ทเนอร์อย่างเฮียจิมช่วยทำให้ผมคลายกังวลไปได้มาก เฮียคอยบอกผมเสมอว่า ไม่เป็นไร เริ่มใหม่ มาพยายามด้วยกันใหม่ เดี๋ยวมันก็ดีขึ้นเอง เฮียเป็นคนคอยพยุงความรู้สึกผมตลอด ผมเลยรู้สึกดีมากที่ได้เฮียจิมเป็นคู่ทางการแสดงคนแรกของผม”
ทำงานกับ ‘ทะเล’ และ ‘ปืน’
ซีที่ชื่อเหมือนกับตัวละคร ‘ทะเล’ เล่าการทำงานกับตัวละครนี้ให้ฟังว่า ไม่ได้หนีจากตัวเขามากเท่าไหร่ ทั้งเป็นคนที่วางเป้าหมายชีวิตชัดเจน ตั้งเป้าไว้แล้วต้องไปถึงจุดนั้นให้ได้ และเป็นคนที่ซื่อสัตย์กับความรักมากๆ ซึ่งเขาวางใจอินเนอร์ตรงนี้ที่ถ่ายทอดออกไป แต่สิ่งที่เขาจัดการมันได้ยากกว่าคือ การเป็น Colorist ของเรื่อง
“ผมค่อนข้างที่จะไม่รู้อะไรเกี่ยวกับอาชีพนี้เลย (หัวเราะ) แบล็งมาก สิ่งหนึ่งที่ช่วยได้คือ การไปถามทีมงานในบริษัทหรือคนรู้จักที่เขาทำงานในแวดวงนี้ เพื่อให้เขาเล่าถึงรายละเอียดงานที่ทำ รวมถึงการศึกษาจากในคลิปต่างๆ ก็ช่วยได้มากเหมือนกัน เพื่อให้เราเข้าใจว่า สีแต่ละโทนให้อารมณ์และบอกความหมายอย่างไร ทำให้ฉากที่เราต้องเล่นกับสีและมุมมองของทะเลมันชัดขึ้น”
ผิดกับจิมมี่ที่เล่าถึงการทำงานกับ ‘ปืน’ ว่า ความเป็นซูเปอร์สตาร์ ทำให้ต้องสร้างความมั่นใจเพิ่มขึ้น และมีร่างกายที่ส่งพอที่จะเป็น ‘ปืน’ เขาเลยหา Reference การแสดงของตัวเอง ด้วยการดูหนังมาร์เวล เพื่อซึมซับออร่าซูเปอร์สตาร์เข้าไป แต่ส่วนร่างกายอาจไม่ได้กำยำเท่าเขา
“ร่างต้องลดลงครึ่งหนึ่งจากเขา ไม่อย่างนั้นจะดูตันครับ (หัวเราะ) แต่อยากเสริมความยากของตัวเอง ด้วยบท ‘ปืน’ มีความเจ้าชู้ ว่านเสน่ห์ ทีเล่นทีจริง ตัวผมเองอาจไม่ได้แอคทีฟในเรื่องนั้น แต่ผม เชื่อว่ามันต้องมีคนแบบนี้อยู่บนโลก ในหมื่นคนมันต้องมีสักคน ฉะนั้น เราต้องเป็นให้ได้ เพราะเราเป็นนักแสดง เรามีหน้าที่รับใช้และถ่ายทอดคาแร็คเตอร์นั้นให้เป็นจริง จุดนี้คือความท้าทายมากๆ”
คู่หูและพาร์ทเนอร์การทำงาน
“ผมดีใจที่ได้เฮียมาเป็นพาร์ทเนอร์” นี่เป็นสิ่งที่ซีย้ำอีกครั้งกับเรื่องถึงคู่หูทางการแสดงอย่างจิมมี่
“เขามีความเป็นผู้นำและมีวุฒิภาวะสูงมาก บางอย่างเขาจะบอกผมตรงๆ บางอย่างเขาก็จะบอกผมอ้อมๆ เพื่อให้ผมเรียนรู้ด้วยตัวเอง แม้ผมจะยังผ่านอะไรมาไม่เยอะมาก แต่การได้เฮียจิมเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการทำงาน มันคือความสบายใจ
“มันเหมือนคนแต่งานกัน ซึ่งผมรู้สึกอย่างนั้นจริงๆ พูดคุย ทำความเข้าใจ เรียนรู้ความสุขและปัญหาที่เข้ามา มันทำให้ทุกอย่างคลี่คลายได้ง่ายมาก”
เราไม่รู้ว่า จิมมี่หน้าแดงเป็นเพราะเครื่องสำอางที่ทาไว้สำหรับเซ็ตแฟชั่นต่อไปหรือไม่ แต่จิมมี่พูดถึงพาร์ทเนอร์ที่ชื่อซีด้วยสีหน้าอมยิ้มนิดๆ ว่า
“ไม่มีครั้งไหนเลยที่น้องจะต่อต้านความคิดหรือข้อเสนอแนะคนอื่นเลย แม้แต่ตัวผม อย่างที่น้องบอกไป แม้ผมจะพูดตรงๆ หรืออ้อมๆ น้องไม่ทิ้ง ฟังอย่างตั้งใจ เก็บหมดทุกอย่าง ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ดีสำหรับน้องมากๆ ที่จะทำให้เขาปรับปรุงตัวเองและพัฒนาการแสดงของตัวเองต่อไปเรื่อยๆ ครับ”

“Jimmy-Sea”: Acting and Me in the Other Parallel Universe
Seeing “Jimmy – Jitaraphol Potiwihok” and “Sea – Tawinan Anukoolprasert” getting along so well now, I asked them about their first impression. It turned out that they both doubted if they would hit it off because their lifestyles were completely different. It was like they came from a parallel universe in Vice Versa the Series.
Nevertheless, when it’s a parallel universe, there must be some points connected to each other. One of them even mentioned that they unexpectedly shared some interests and it got them closer. Jimmy and Sea took this opportunity to share how they worked together in the series and their personalities that I could guarantee that you will helplessly fall in love with them.
Coincidence, Destiny, and Gym
Sea started the conversation about their first meeting. One thing I discovered was that they met in an acting class and only then that they learned about being an acting partner. Sea mentioned that he couldn’t figure out how the chemistry between them would turn out.
“When I saw Jimmy, I only knew two things about him: being a doctor and a lot older than me. Superficially, our lifestyle seemed so different. But it was Jimmy who approached me first and said that we would be working together as a partner next year. I was slightly surprised. I didn’t expect it to be someone this close to me.”
Thus, they started observing each other and found that the assumption that they had nothing alike, might not be completely true. Jimmy added an interesting point to the coincidence that,
“When I learned that we would play the lead roles together, the first thing I did was to talk and get to know him more. And I unexpectedly found that Sea and I were both into exercise and fitness. This point became a topic we shared. Honestly speaking, I’m glad that we’ve got something in common.” (Laughed)
Acting and Pressure
If discovering yourself is a parallel universe, acting could be another parallel one. Jimmy was a doctor and Sea was completely new as an actor. Although Jimmy had already acted in “Bad Buddy the Series”, “Vice Versa the Series” can be counted as his new beginning. Nevertheless, he acquired some techniques from his previous series to apply to his acting.
“I’ve to clarify first that I didn’t study acting at school. I’m only a novice. But in “Bad Buddy the Series”, I had a chance to observe people around me. That was a lesson I learned from working in that series. And I have a motto that our life is too short to do everything by trial and error.”
“Absorbing and studying from the experienced or talented ones like ‘Ohm-Nanon’ who were guest actors in this series, it helped me to find my own acting. It guided me to have a clearer direction and applied it to my acting style.”
While Jimmy’s GPS for acting was getting in the right direction, Sea, on the other hand, was deemed by X – Nuttapong Mongkolsawas, the director of the series, to be very determined that he put a lot of pressure on himself. Here, I wasn’t sure if it was his first series so it worried him more than usual.
“I gave it all because I didn’t want to regret it later. I’d prepared for everything that could happen but I put too much pressure on myself at some points. Luckily I’ve got a good partner like Jimmy. He helped lighten the weight of pressure. He always told me that
“It was alright. Let’s do it again. Let’s try it together. It’ll get better soon.” He always gave me emotional support. It was great to have him as my first acting partner.”
Working with “Talay” and “Puen”
Sea, whose name means “Talay” as the character in the series, shared about his working with this character and that their personalities were pretty similar. They both have a clear life goal, are determined to achieve it, and are very honest with love. Sea was confident that he was able to deliver these aspects. What he found more difficult was Talay being a colorist.
“I kinda had no idea about this job. (Laughed). I was totally clueless. One thing that helped was to ask the staff in the company or acquaintances that worked in the field. I asked them to share the job details. I also studied it from tutorial videos, it helped a lot, too. It made me understand how a different tone of colors represents emotions and meanings, so I had a clearer view in the scenes about colors and Talay’s perspectives.”
On the contrary, Jimmy said that as he worked with “Puen”, a superstar, he needed to boost his confidence as well as his body size so it supported his appearance to become the character. He looked for a reference by watching Marvel’s movies to absorb that superstar aura into him, despite being unable to match up the body size.
“My body size should be half of theirs. Otherwise, it’d make me look short (Laughed). But I’d love to add that what challenged me was that “Puen” has a sense of being a playboy. He is flirty and playful and it may not be in my nature. But I believed there must be this kind of people in this world. Out of ten thousand, there must be one.
Therefore, I must act like one because I’m an actor. It’s my duty to serve and represent my character to the world. That was what was very challenging for me.”
Working Partner
“I’m glad that I’ve got him as my partner.” That was what Sea emphasized again about his official partner, Jimmy.
“He is a person with great leadership and maturity. For something, he would tell me directly. But for some other things, he would tell me indirectly to let me learn it by myself. Despite my lack of experience, having Jimmy as part of my work is my comfort.”
“It’s like a married couple. I really feel like that. We talk, understand, and learn about happiness and problems that happened. That’s how everything gets solved so easily.”
I don’t know whether Jimmy’s face turned red because of the cosmetics set for the next fashion shoot or not. But he talked about his partner named Sea with a little smile that,
“There is no time that he opposes other people’s thoughts or opinions. Even with me, like he said, whether being told directly or indirectly, he never disregards any of them. He listens carefully and takes them all in. It’s very good for his self-improvement and acting skills in the future.”
The poster of Vice Versa the Series said that “My love occurs in the parallel universe.”
Nevertheless, the relationship always finds its way to collide like “Jimmy-Sea” today.
