Teejay Marquez: A Force To Be Reckoned With
Teejay Marquez is a name that has been making waves in the entertainment industry, not just in the Philippines, but in Indonesia as well. The Filipino model and actor has starred in various TV series and films, showcasing his talent and versatility as an artist.
One of Teejay’s most notable roles was in the Indonesian TV series “Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta,” which was a remake of the hit Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden.” Teejay played the character of Sean, one of the members of the famous F4 group. His portrayal of the character was well-received by audiences, earning him a new legion of fans not just in Indonesia, but in other parts of Asia as well.
Teejay’s success continued when he starred in the BL (Boys Love) series “BenxJim” alongside Jerome Ponce. The show tackled the romantic relationship between two male characters, which was a first for Teejay. The series became a hit among fans of the genre and established Teejay as a rising star in the world of BL.
When asked about how he feels about being known as a BL actor, Teejay shared, “I am honored and a bit scared. I am honored because I was able to represent a community that has a very good story to tell and a lesson to learn. “I’m a bit scared because I might be stereotyped in this kind of role, but work is work.”
Despite his reservations, Teejay continues to take on BL projects, including his latest series, My Story, which is a sequel to My Day Series. In My Story, Teejay plays the role of Win, a Pinoy chef who falls in love with Miko Gallardo’s character, Sky.
Teejay shared, “I can really relate a lot to my character aside from being a good cook. I am a hard-working person, loving, independent, and strong person.”
Filming for My Story took Teejay to Thailand, where he got to experience the country’s culture and cuisine. “Thailand for me is heaven on earth since I love spicy food,” he shared.
The Thai BL series has taken the world by storm, and Teejay is no stranger to it. When asked about his favorite Thai BL series, Teejay shared that he watched Dark Blue Kiss and 2gether Series.
And if Teejay had the chance to star in a Thai BL series, who would he want to be paired with? “If I will be paired up with a Thai BL actor, it will be Apo from Kinn Porsche because I think he’s an amazing actor,” he revealed.
With his talent, charm, and determination, Teejay Marquez is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. As he continues to take on new challenges and forge his own path, there is no doubt that he will continue to captivate audiences both on and off-screen.
