10 คำสำคัญจาก ‘คุณชาย’ สู่ลูกผู้ชายตัวจริงที่ชื่อ ‘แจม-รชตะ หัมพานนท์’
การสัมภาษณ์ของ POSH MAGAZINE THAILAND ครั้งนี้กับ ‘แจม-รชตะ หัมพานนท์’ บอกได้เลยว่า ตอบสดๆ บทไม่มี เพราะเราไม่ให้เขารู้คำถามก่อน แต่ให้เขาต้องกุมชะตาตัวเองด้วยการจับฉลากคำสำคัญขึ้นมา 10 คำจากทั้งหมด 20 คำในกล่อง แล้วให้เขาตอบอะไรก็ได้เกี่ยวกับคำที่เขาเห็น ง่ายๆ คืออิมโพรไวส์ เหมือนการแสดงที่เขาเองต้องแก้ไขปัญหาเฉพาะหน้า ซึ่งเขารับมือกับมันได้ดีมากและได้คำตอบที่คาดไม่ถึง รวมถึงคำที่เขาหยิบขึ้นมาก็บอกได้อีกว่า ผู้ชายคนนี้มือทองด้านการจับแบบสุดๆ
คำที่ 1: ครูแจม
ประเด็นนี้มีคนถามผมน้อยมาก เวลาถามก็จะข้ามไปเลย เรื่องมีอยู่ว่า ผมสอบติดมหาวิทยาลัยอยู่ 2 ที่ครับ คือ คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และคณะครุศาสตร์ สาขาศิลปศึกษาแขนงดนตรี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเลย แล้วสองที่นี้คือสัมภาษณ์วันเดียวกัน ผมก็นอนคิดแล้วคิดอีกว่า จะตามครอบครัวดีไหม เพราะถ้าเรียนนิติศาสตร์ จะต่อยอดการเป็นตำรวจได้ง่ายกว่า แต่สุดท้ายผมเลือกครูครับ เพราะนิติศาสตร์ ถ้าจบไปแล้วสอบตำรวจไม่ได้ ต้องไปเป็นทนาย อาจไม่ใช่ทางของผมเท่าไหร่
นอกจากนี้ คุณปู่ผมพูดมาอย่างหนึ่งว่า “อาชีพตำรวจดี แต่เราจะใช้ชีวิตไม่เหมือนอาชีพอื่น เวลาและการทำงานก็กินชีวิตเราไปประมาณหนึ่ง” ผมเห็นแบบนั้นมากับตา เลยมุ่งเรียนครู 5 ปี และไปฝึกสอนตอนปี 5 ตอนนั้นฝึกสอนวิชาดนตรีสากล เชื่อไหมว่า สอนครั้งแรกผมไฟแรงมาก แต่นักเรียนสอบไม่ได้ เพราะเราลืมไปว่า พื้นฐานเด็กแต่ละคนต่างกัน เด็กห้องนี้ควรจัดการเรียนแบบหนึ่ง เด็กอีกห้องควรจัดการเรียนอีกแบบหนึ่ง มันอยู่ที่เราออกแบบการสอนให้เหมาะกับสภาพแวดล้อมห้องนั้น ผมเลยเข้าใจความเป็นครูตั้งแต่นั้น และเป็นอีก 1 ความภาคภูมิใจที่ผมได้นำความรู้ไปต่อยอดให้คนอื่น
คำที่ 2: ความสำเร็จ
ถามว่า ตอนนี้สำเร็จไหม มันเพิ่งเริ่มครับ มันยังไม่สำเร็จ 100% ซึ่งถ้าให้ผมมองอาจสำเร็จแค่เรื่อง ‘คุณชาย’ แต่ผลงานต่อไป ไม่อาจการันตีได้เลยว่า เขาจะคิดหรือพูดถึงเราอย่างไร ฉะนั้นแล้ว ปลายทางการทำงานยังต้องมีบทพิสูจน์อีกเยอะครับ ซึ่งถ้าสำเร็จทางด้านการแสดงจริงๆ ผมว่าผมน่าจะได้รางวัลอะไรติดไม้ติดมือมาบ้าง เพื่อเป็นการรันตีฝีมือของตัวเอง
ส่วนเรื่องของชีวิต ผมอยากให้ย่ามีความสุขทั้งตัวเองและได้เห็นเรามีความสุข รวมถึงรู้สึกดีใจกับเราที่บางสิ่งสำเร็จเป็นชิ้นเป็นอันได้ และในชีวิตบทถัดไป ผมอยากสานฝันให้ย่าด้วยการทำบ้านให้สำเร็จ เพื่อให้ย่ามีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น ผมยังบอกกับย่าเลยว่า “เดี๋ยวทำให้นะแม่” (ยิ้ม)
คำที่ 3: แฟนคลับ
น่ารักมากครับ บอกเลย ซึ่งเราเคยมีอยู่กลุ่มเล็กๆ กลุ่มหนึ่งตอนแรก แต่ตอนนี้มันขยายใหญ่มากขึ้น ซึ่งเราพยายามจะเจอทุกคนนะ เพื่อขยายความรักให้ทั่วถึงกัน แต่บางครั้งด้วยภาระงาน อาจเจอได้ไม่ครบ แต่เราขอบคุณเขาทุกครั้งที่ติดตามและสนับสนุนตัวผม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทีมเบื้องหน้าหรือซัพพอร์ตหลังบ้านก็ตาม
บางครั้งผมก็แอบทำตัวไม่ถูกเหมือนกัน อันนี้เปิดเผยที่แรกเลย เพราะหลังจากเรื่อง ‘คุณชาย’ มีสมาชิกเข้ามาเยอะขึ้น จนเรากลัวว่า เราจะดูแลได้ไม่ทั่วถึงเหมือนเก่า เขาจะคิดกับเราไม่ดีหรือเปล่า แต่ท้ายที่สุดแล้ว ผมมองว่า ผมต้องทำหน้าที่ตัวเองให้ดีที่สุด เพื่อให้เขาภูมิใจและอยู่กับเราไปนานๆ ซึ่งผมดีใจมากเวลาที่เขาพูดในกรุ๊ปแฟนคลับบอกว่า “ดีใจที่ได้เห็นน้องเติบโตและก้าวต่อไปข้างหน้าเรื่อยๆ” มันเป็นกำลังใจที่ดีมาก ขอบคุณมากจริงๆ และอยู่ด้วยกันแบบนี้ไปนานๆ นะครับ
คำที่ 4: รักนะขอรับ
ผลงานเรื่องแรกในช่อง ONE31 ของผมเลย ผมชอบและรักบทนี้มาก เพราะมันเฮฮา สนุก และได้ปลดปล่อยตัวผมเต็มที่ เป็นซิตคอมที่ผมได้รับฟีดแบ็คเยอะมากว่า อยากให้กลับมา ผมเองก็อยากให้กลับมานะ เพราะการทำงานในเรื่องนี้ มันตลกและมีสีสันจริงๆ อีกทั้งต้องฟิตหุ่นตลอดเวลา เพราะด้วยความเป็นซิตคอมพีเรียด เลยทำให้ต้องรักษาหุ่นให้สม่ำเสมอ และที่สำคัญได้มิตรภาพที่ดีอย่าง บิ้นท์ (สิรีธร ลีห์อร่ามวัฒน์) ด้วย เพราะตั้งแต่เข้ามาแรกๆ ผมสนิทกับบิ้นท์เยอะที่สุดแล้ว หวังว่าจะได้กลับมาให้ผู้ชมได้รับชมกันอีกนะขอรับ (หัวเราะ)
คำที่ 5: บอย ถกลเกียรติ
ถือว่าเป็นคนบุคคลหนึ่งในชีวิตของผมที่ให้โอกาสผมได้เข้ามาในวงการบันเทิงแบบเต็มตัว และผมก็หวังว่าเขาจะเห็นผมในรายการ ‘รู้ไหมใครโสด’ และรู้ว่า “โลกนี้ยังมีแจม รชตะ อยู่” ซึ่งผมเคยถามพี่เขาด้วยนะว่า พี่เห็นผมจากไหน พี่เขาก็บอกว่า เห็นตั้งแต่ในโฆษณาชิ้นหนึ่งแล้ว พอมาถึงรายการ ก็เลยมีการเรียกพูดคุย โดยพี่เขาย้ำเสมอว่า โอกาสมีให้แล้ว เวทีมีให้แล้ว จงใช้โอกาสและเวทีตรงนี้ให้ดีและเต็มที่ที่สุด
นึกได้อีกเรื่อง ผมเคยถามพี่เขากลับไปด้วยนะว่า พี่ถูกใจผมตรงไหน คำตอบคือ ความบ้านๆ ของผมนี่แหละ (หัวเราะ) เขาบอกว่า คุณเป็นตัวเอง เป็นธรรมชาติแบบนี้ มันดีที่สุดแล้ว
คำที่ 6: เทียน (ต่อจากนี้ ให้คุณจินตนาการเสียงอาจิวจากบทสัมภาษณ์นี้)
เทียนเหรอครับ ผมว่าเขาน่ารักและเป็นคนที่เก่งมาก คอยสอนผมในหลายๆ อย่าง ซึ่งผู้ชายที่ชื่อ ‘ฟิล์ม ธนภัทร’ เขาเป็นคนถ่ายทอดได้ดีนะครับ เก็บหมดทุกรายละเอียดเลย ตอนที่ผมเจอคุณเทียน
ครั้งแรก ผมไม่ได้มองภาพว่า เขาเป็นผู้หญิงหรืออะไรเลย แต่ผมมองเขาเป็นผู้ชายคนหนึ่งที่ต้องการใครสักคน และต้องการความอบอุ่นจากใครบางคน
ผมว่าที่ผมรักเขา ก็เพราะเขาเป็นคนแบบนี้ เขาซัพพอร์ตทุกคน ลูกน้อง คนในบ้าน แต่ลืมซัพพอร์ตจิตใจตัวเอง ผมเลยพยายามซัพพอร์ตเขาอย่างเต็มที่ แต่ในใจลึกๆ ผมก็ยังมีภารกิจที่ต้องจัดการเขาอยู่ แต่เขาเป็นคนดีมาก จนผมไม่อยากเสียเขาไป ทำใจลำบากเหมือนกันครับ เพราะผมเองก็อยากจะกันคุณเทียนออกไป เพราะเราเองก็ไม่อยากให้ชีวิตดีๆ ของเขาต้องมาพังทลายเพราะเรา
บางครั้ง ‘หน้าที่’ กับ ‘ความรัก’ ก็เป็นเรื่องตัดสินใจที่ยากลำบากจริงๆ (End Scene)
คำที่ 7: หมายักษ์กับแมวน้อย
เป็นฉายาที่มาจาก Hashtag ในทวิตเตอร์ครับ หมายักษ์เปรียบเป็นจิวที่หน้าดูบูดๆ บึ้งๆ อยู่ตลอดเวลาในเรื่อง ‘คุณชาย’ ส่วนแมวน้อยก็จะเป็นคุณเทียน ที่จะมุ้งๆ มิ้งๆ กับเด็กตอนที่ผมถีบประตูเข้าไป คือมาอย่างดุเลย แต่พอมาเจอความเหมียวของคุณเทียน ก็รู้สึกใจบาง ซึ่งผมดูแล้ว คนบนโลกทวิตเตอร์คือช่างคิดมาก (เน้นเสียง) อ่านแล้วรู้สึกน่ารัก เป็นฉายาที่เข้ากับคาแร็คเตอร์ดี
คำที่ 8: Extra/ ตัวประกอบ
เป็นอีก 1 บทบาทที่มีเกียรติมากครับ เพราะว่าถ้าขาดตัวประกอบไปสักตัว ผมว่าองค์ประกอบของละครเรื่องนั้น มันก็ไม่ครบแล้ว จะกลายเป็นตัวคุณเล่นลอยๆ คนเดียว ซึ่งอาจจะขาดความสมจริงไปหน่อย ผมก็เคยผ่านจุดนั้นมาแล้ว จนถึงตอนนี้ ผมเห็นเขาทำงานเหนื่อยๆ นั่งอยู่กันข้างนอก ก็ได้แต่นึกย้อนกลับไปตอนที่เราเป็นเหมือนกัน
สิ่งที่เป็นโชคชะตาอย่างหนึ่งก็คือ เจอเพื่อนเก่าๆ เยอะมากในกอง ‘คุณชาย’ ที่เคยเล่นเป็น Extra ด้วยกัน เชื่อไหมครับว่า บางคนไม่กล้าคุยกับผม เพราะกลัวผมไม่คุยด้วย ผมเลยเดินเข้าไปหาและบอกว่า ผมยังเหมือนเดิม แค่ขยับขึ้นมาอีกบทบาทหนึ่ง แม้จะเป็นคนละบทบาท เราก็ยังเป็นนักแสดงเหมือนกัน คุยกันได้ปกติ
คำที่ 9: นักแสดง
ไม่เคยฝันเลยครับว่า จะได้เป็น เพราะส่วนใหญ่ผมมักจะไปอยู่ในการแสดงเล็กๆ น้อยๆ เช่น ละครเวทีโรงเรียน มันก็จะเกร็งๆ เขินๆ นิดๆ แต่ก็ไม่ได้คิดว่าจะได้มาเจอคนเยอะๆ มาอยู่หน้าจอโทรทัศน์ อยู่ต่อหน้ากล้องแบบนี้ โดยเฉพาะยิ่งเข้ามาอยู่ในช่องใหญ่ๆ ยิ่งไม่ได้คิดเลย ซึ่งพอได้เข้ามาจริงๆ มันมีรายละเอียดยิบย่อยเยอะมาก
ชีวิตนักแสดงผมบอกตรงนี้เลยว่า ไม่สบาย หลายคนที่มองว่า มันดูสบายสวยงาม เพราะมันคือสิ่งที่สำเร็จตรงหน้าแล้ว แต่พอไปดูเบื้องหลังจริงๆ มันต้องผ่านกระบวนการอะไรมาเยอะมาก ระหว่างทางมันเหนื่อยแบบสาหัสสากรรจ์เลย ตั้งแต่ปรับความคิด เรียนการแสดง แสดงจริง เคลียร์ตัวละครออกจากตัวเอง โปรโมต พอขึ้นเรื่องใหม่ ก็ต้องวนลูปใหม่ไปเรื่อยๆ ดังนั้น นักแสดงต้องทำทุกอย่างได้ นี่คือความคาดหวังของคนที่เข้ามาทำอาชีพนี้ และผมกำลังเรียนรู้สิ่งเหล่านี้อยู่แบบค่อยเป็นค่อยไปครับ
คำที่ 10: ชื่อเสียง
เป็นเหมือนผลกำไรชีวิต แต่ก็ไม่ได้ยกชูไว้ เพราะเดี๋ยวมันก็หายไปตามกาลเวลา มีคลื่นลูกใหม่เข้ามา อาจมีซาลงไปบ้าง สิ่งที่จะยังคงอยู่คือ คุณภาพและมาตรฐานในตัวที่เรามี และต้องใฝ่รู้ไปเรื่อยๆ ชื่อเสียงถึงจะอยู่คงทนกับตัวเราไปเรื่อยๆ ซึ่งผมมองว่า ‘ชื่อเสียง’ และ ‘ชื่อเสีย’ มันใกล้เคียงกันมาก ถ้าเราพลาดนิดเดียวหรือทำตัวไม่น่ารัก ชื่อเสียงมันอาจจะหลุดลอยไปในวันหนึ่งก็ได้ มันเลยทำให้ผมต้องรู้เท่าทันและระแวดระวังตัวเองอยู่เหมือนกัน

Ten Keywords from ‘To Sir, With Love’ with a True Gentleman, ‘Jam-Rachata Hampanont’
This interview of POSH MAGAZINE THAILAND with ‘Jam-Rachata Hampanont’ is completely unscripted because we didn’t let him see the questions in advance. He was the one who controlled his destiny by randomly picking up ten out of the 20 keywords in the box. He was free to answer anything related to the given words. Basically, it was all improvised, similar to acting that he got to solve problems promptly. We have to admit that he could handle it well, and some of the answers are beyond our expectations. Moreover, the keywords he had picked proved that he got a lucky hand.
1st Keyword: Teacher Jam
There aren’t many people who asked me about this topic. They usually skipped it during the interview. The thing is, I got accepted by two universities i.e. School of Law at Khon Kaen University; and the School of Education, majoring in Music Education, at Rajabhat University. Both universities set an interview on the same day. I was pondering hard if I should follow my ascendants. If I studied Law, it would be easier for me to become a policeman. Nevertheless, I decided to study education because if I couldn’t pass the police exam, being a lawyer didn’t seem like my thing.
Besides, my grandfather once said, “Being a police is good. But our lifestyle will be different from others. The working hours and the career itself will consume a certain part of our life.” I witnessed it with my own eyes. It drove me to study education for five years and I went for a teaching internship in my fifth year. I was assigned to teach Western Music subject. You know, I was highly motivated in my first class, but the students couldn’t pass the exam. It was because I forgot that all students had different backgrounds. One class might prefer to learn one way and the other class might prefer another. It depended on our learning design to match their nature. I understood the word teacher since and it was one of my pride to be able to empower others with knowledge.
2nd Keyword: Success
If you ask me now about success, it is only the beginning. It isn’t 100% yet. I can say that I am successful with ‘To Sir, With Love’. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee of how people would think or talk about me in the next project. Hence, there must be many challenges awaiting me on this career path. As a proven record of my acting success, I think some awards can help guarantee my talent.
Regarding life, I want my Grandma to be happy and see me being happy; and also congratulate me on my success. For the next chapter of my life, I want to make her dream come true by building a house for her, so she can have a better living. I told her that “I’ll do it for you, Mum.” (Smiled)
3rd Keyword: Fan
Very lovely. I used to have a small group of fans at the beginning, but now it’s a lot bigger. I try to see everyone to spread my love thoroughly, but because of my workload, I couldn’t see every one of them. But I thank them every time for their follow and support whether they’re the frontline or the support teams.
Sometimes, I didn’t know how to act. Here is the first time I confess this. After ‘To Sir, With Love’ is on air, the number of fans increased drastically which made me afraid that I wouldn’t be able to take care of everyone like in the past. And they would think badly of me. Eventually, I think I must do my best to make them proud and stay with me for a long time. It made me happy to see my fan say in the fan group, “Happy to see Jam growing and keep moving forward”. It was a wonderful encouragement. I really appreciate it and let’s stay together like this for a long time.
4th Keyword: Rak Na Kor Rab
My first project with ONE31 Channel. I like and love this role so much. It was hilarious and fun, and I was completely free of being myself. I got a lot of feedback for this sitcom that people want to see it returns to the screen again. I wish that too. Working on this project was fun and joyful. I’d got to always stay fit because it was a period sitcom, so it required me to keep my body in shape. And most importantly, I’d bonded a great friendship with Bint (Sireethorn Leearamwat) since I was close with her from the very beginning. I hope there is a chance to see the audience again na kor rab. (Laughed) (He was mimicking his character who always ended his sentence with “na kor rab”.)
5th Keyword: Boy Takonkiet
One of the people in my life who gave me an opportunity to fully enter the entertainment industry. I was hoping that he would see me in the ‘Roo Mai Krai Sod’ Show and learn that “there is Jam Rachata in this world”. I actually asked him once where he saw me and he said he saw me in a piece of ads. So when I went to the show, they invited me for a proper discussion. He always emphasized that here was my opportunity, here was my stage. I shall exploit these opportunities and stages at my best and to the fullest.
That reminds me of one time I asked him back what you did see in me. His answer was my ordinariness. (Laughed) He said you’re being yourself, being genuine like this is the best.
6th Keyword: Thian (You could put Jiu’s voice for this section)
Thian? I think he is a lovely and talented person. He taught me many things. An actor, ‘Film Thanapat’, has portrayed him well, very keen on details. The first time I saw Thian, I didn’t see him as a lady or anything. I only saw him as a man who wanted someone and needed some warmth from somebody.
I think I love him because he is this kind of person. He supports everyone: his subordinates and his family, but he forgot to give himself mental support. That is why I try to support him with all my might, but deep inside, I have my mission of assassinating him. But he is such a good guy that I don’t want to lose him. It is a tough decision to make. I also want to push him away because I don’t want to ruin his majestic life.
Sometimes, it’s a tough call to choose between ‘duty’ and ‘love’. (End Scene)
7th Keyword: Big Doggy and Little Kitty
Our nicknames from the hashtag on Twitter. The Big Dog refers to Jiu whose face always looks grimaced in the series ‘To Sir, With Love’. The Little Kitty refers to Thian who is cutely playing with the kids when I kicked the door open. I was super furious but when I saw his kitty-ness, it softened my heart. When I watched that scene, I think that they were very creative (Empathized). When I read it, I thought it was cute. The nicknames match the characters well.
8th Keyword: Extra / A Background Actor
Another honorable role. If one extra is missing, the component of the drama would be incomplete. It would turn out that the main role would act alone, resulting in a lack of reality. I used to be at that point and until now, I saw them working and sitting outside, exhausted. It reminded me of the days when I was working in the same role.
One thing that must be determined by fate is that I met a lot of old colleagues at the shooting set of ‘To Sir, With Love’. We used to work as an extra together. You know, some of them were afraid to chat with me as they thought I wouldn’t talk to them. I had to approach them and told them that I remained unchanged. I only took another step to take a different role. Though we worked in different roles, we were still an actor. We can talk casually.
9th Keyword: Actor
I never dreamt that I would become one. Mostly, I usually work with a small theater such as a school theater. It makes me a little nervous and shy. I didn’t expect that I would see a lot of people, to be on the screen, or in front of the camera, especially to be part of this big channel. This is beyond my imagination. But once I actually got accepted, there are numerous unexpected details to consider.
Life of an actor, I can tell you that it isn’t easy. Many people regard it as an easy and pretty job because they only see the successful product presented in front of them. But when you learn it from behind the scene, there are several steps to go through. It is an arduous journey from shifting mindset, taking acting classes, shooting, clearing the character from yourself, and promoting the series. When you start the new project, the cycle resumes. Hence, an actor must be able to do anything. This is an expectation for those who choose this career and I’m gradually learning it.
Tenth Keyword: Fame
It was a profit of life but I don’t hold on to it tightly. It will eventually fade away. There will be a new wave and I’ll be subdued sometimes. One thing that will remain is my quality and standard. And I must keep learning so that the fame will keep going on with me. I see that ‘famous’ and ‘infamous’ sounds very similar. If we make a small mistake or act inappropriately, the fame may slip out of my hand one day. That is why I’m always conscious and cautious.
