‘คาธ The Eclipse’ กับการฉายแสงทุกการแสดงและความสัมพันธ์ของ ‘เฟิร์ส-ข้าวตัง’
ในสังคมที่แสงอาทิตย์ของคนรุ่นใหม่เริ่มอ่อนแรง ก็มีซีรีส์เรื่องหนึ่งที่แสงอาทิตย์ส่องประกายให้พวกเขาเฉิดฉายและและถูกพูดถึงในวงกว้างเกี่ยวกับการแสดงของทั้งคู่ เรากำลังพูดถึงคู่เพื่อนอย่าง ‘เฟิร์ส-คณพันธ์ ปุ้ยตระกูล’ และ ‘ข้าวตัง-ธนวัฒน์ รัตนกิจไพศาล’ จากเรื่อง ‘คาธ The Eclipse’ ที่นำพา ‘อักก์’ และ ‘อายัน’ ออกสู่สายตาได้อย่างภาคภูมิ
ความภาคภูมินั้นอาจมีเรื่องราวระหว่างทางน่าสนใจที่อยากบอกเล่า เราเลยขอให้ชายหนุ่มทั้งสองฉายแสงลงไปยังเรื่องราวที่ผ่านกันมา ด้วยการทบทวนตัวตนตัวเอง ตัวละครที่สวมบทบาท ตัวงานที่ได้รังสรรค์ออกมา รวมถึงตัวเพื่อนที่ได้ร่วมงานกันในฐานะพาร์ทเนอร์ทางการแสดง เราบอกได้เลยว่า ลึกซึ้งและกินใจ จนคุณอาจตกหลุมรักเพื่อนคู่นี้ไปแบบไม่รู้ตัว
เพื่อนทางการแสดง
ทำงานกับ ‘อักก์’ และ ‘อายัน’ มาเกือบปี ตัวละครน่าจะมีอะไรบางอย่างบอกถึงคนทั้งคู่ เราเลยให้เฟิร์สและข้าวตังจำลองเป็น ‘อักก์’ และ ‘อายัน’ ในการตอบคำถามนี้ โดยที่ข้าวตังหลับตาก่อน แล้วเริ่มสวมบทเป็นอายัน บรรทัดที่เป็นคำพูดต่อไปนี้ ให้ผู้อ่านจินตนาการเสียงอายันได้ตามใจชอบ
“คิวสุดท้ายที่เราถ่ายกับนาย ภาพยังชัดเจนอยู่เลย ความรู้สึกมันไม่ได้หายไปไหน หลังจากนี้จะไม่ได้เจอกันแล้ว เราขอบคุณนายมาก นายคือเพื่อนสนิทเราคนหนึ่ง เป็นนักแสดงที่ทุ่มเทเพื่อเป็นเราอย่างเต็มที่ หลังจากนี้ขอให้นายมีชีวิตที่ดี และเป็นพระอาทิตย์ที่สง่างามต่อไป”
หลังพูดจบข้าวตังใช้ทิชชู่ซับน้ำตา ซึ่งนั่นน่าจะเป็นความรู้สึกสุดท้ายที่ ‘อายัน’ อยากบอก
พอมาถึงตาเฟิร์ส เฟิร์สบอกว่า เป็นคำถามปราบเซียนมาก แต่ท้ายที่สุด เฟิร์สก็หลับตาและเข้าถึงบท ‘อักก์’ หลังจากที่ข้าวตังพูดจบ
“ขอบคุณนายมากนะ ที่ทำให้เรามีชีวิตโลดแล่นและเป็นที่รักของใครหลายๆ คน เรารู้ว่านายตั้งใจกับมันมากๆ มีความสุขที่ได้เป็นเราตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ ขอให้นายจดจำความมุ่งมั่นตรงนี้ไว้ และพลังที่จะทำเรื่องต่อไปให้ดียิ่งขึ้น เป็นกำลังใจให้นายเสมอ”
หลังจากนี้ คิดว่า ‘อักก์’ และ ‘อายัน’ จะไปเรียนคณะใด คำถามเปิดกว้างให้ทั้งคู่ได้แสดงความรู้สึกแบบฟรีสไตล์ ข้าวตังว่า “น่าจะคณะแนวศิลปกรรมสายวาดภาพ” ส่วนเฟิร์สบอกว่า “แน่นอนครับ รัฐศาสตร์การปกครอง”
หลังถอดรหัสชีวิตหลังรั้วโรงเรียนของ ‘อักก์’ และ ‘อายัน’ แล้ว เราขอให้เฟิร์สและข้าวตังบอก 1 สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้จากเรื่อง ‘คาธ The Eclipse’ เฟิร์สเปิดก่อนว่า ถ้าพาร์ทในการใช้ชีวิต การยอมรับและไม่กดดันชีวิตมากจนเกินไป คือสิ่งที่อักก์พยายามจะบอก แต่สิ่งที่เฟิร์สได้มากกว่านั้นคือ “ความเข้าใจครับ เข้าใจในการแสดงจริงๆ ว่ามันคืออะไร เพื่อครั้งหน้าตัวเองจะได้ทำความเข้าใจตัวละครเรื่องต่อไปให้ดีกว่าเดิม”
ส่วนข้าวตังยกคำพูดริมทะเลที่อายันบอกอักก์ว่า “มึงหยุดแคร์คนอื่นบ้างได้หรือเปล่า” ซึ่งนั่นทำให้เขาตกตะกอนบางอย่างได้ว่า “ทุกอย่างล้วนทำไปเถอะ ถ้ามันไม่ได้เดือดร้อนใคร เพราะเหมือนที่ผ่านมา เราเองแคร์สายตาคนรอบข้างมากไป จนกลายเป็นกดดันตัวเอง ดังนั้น เราจะใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีความสุขในแบบที่เราอยากเป็น ในแบบที่เป็นเรา แค่นี้ก็พอแล้ว”
หนังสือของเพื่อน
สิ่งที่น่าสนใจต่อมาคือ ข้าวตังชอบอ่านหนังสือ และให้ของขวัญคนอื่นเป็นหนังสือเสมอ มีให้ ‘เจ้าชายน้อย’ ครูกรีน ให้ ‘ที่ใดมีความเศร้า’ กับเอิร์ธและมิกซ์ และให้ ‘คาธ The Eclipse’ กับเฟิร์ส กิมมิคเรื่องหนังสือน่าสนใจ จนขอตั้งเป็นคำถามถามทั้งคู่ว่า แล้วถ้าให้เปรียบเพื่อนตรงข้ามเป็นหนังสือสักเล่ม คิดว่าเขาเป็นหนังสือประเภทไหน ข้าวตังบอกว่า
“นึกถึงมังงะญี่ปุ่น ถ้าให้มองเฟิร์สภายนอก เขาดูเป็นการ์ตูนหรืออะนิเมะ แต่ถ้าได้รู้จักเนื้อในเขาจริงๆ เขาคือนิยายที่ไม่ได้มีความหวานหรือโรแมนติก แต่อ่านแล้วรู้สึกอบอุ่นและอ่านได้เรื่อยๆ”
พอถึงตาเฟิร์สต้องตอบคำถามนี้บ้าง เฟิร์สกลับบอกว่า ไม่สามารถนิยามได้ว่า เป็นหนังสือแนวไหน แต่สิ่งที่น่าสนใจกว่านั้นคือ ปกและเนื้อหาข้างในของหนังสือเล่มที่ชื่อว่า ‘ข้าวตัง’
“ภายนอกผมมองว่า ข้าวตังเป็นเหมือนปกหนังสือที่ดูน่าอ่าน เหมือนจะอ่านง่าย และเป็นมิตรกับทุกคน แต่พอได้ลองเปิดอ่านแล้ว เนื้อหาอาจมีความเข้าใจยากอยู่บ้าง เพราะเป็นหนังสือที่มีเอกลักษณ์พอตัว ดังนั้นแล้ว หนังสือเล่มนี้ต้องอ่านหลายรอบและอยู่กับมันนานจริงๆ ถึงจะเข้าใจตัวหนังสือ ชุดความคิด หรือสิ่งที่ต้องการจะสื่อ เรียกว่าต้องใช้เวลาทำความเข้าใจหนังสือเล่มนี้นานพอสมควร”
หนังสือบางเล่มต้องเปิดอ่านอย่างระวังและทะนุถนอม เฟิร์สบอกว่า สิ่งที่ต้องระวังเวลาอยู่กับข้าวตังคือ เรื่องคำพูดที่ขวานผ่าซากเกินไป บางครั้งสนิทกันมาก อาจตรงไปแบบไม่ตั้งใจ จนไม่คิดถึงใจคนฟัง ส่วนข้าวตังก็มีเรื่องให้ระวังเวลาอยู่กับเฟิร์สเช่นเดียวกันคือ ความเอาแต่ใจของตัวเอง ที่บางครั้งอาจเผลอใจไปบ้างกับคนที่สนิท ซึ่งเฟิร์สมักเห็นมุมนี้ของข้าวตังบ่อยๆ จนพูดขึ้นมากลางวงว่า “ให้ผมพูดไหมครับ ว่าเอาแต่ใจของเขานี่มีอะไรบ้าง”
ข้าวตังได้แต่ยิ้มกับสิ่งที่เฟิร์สพูด และเราขอละไว้ในฐานที่เข้าใจ
เพื่อนที่รัก
เฟิร์สมีมุมมองต่อเรื่องเพื่อนว่า มันเป็นความสัมพันธ์ที่ไม่ต้องพยายาม แค่ทำมันให้ดีทุกวัน เป็นตัวของตัวเอง และไม่ต้องฝืนตัวเองเพื่อให้อีกคนสบายใจ ถึงขั้นเคยโคว้ททวิตถึงข้าวตังเรื่องนี้ และไปออกรายการที่หนึ่ง ก็ยังบอกว่า ถ้าเป็นไปได้ อยากสร้างบ้านรั้วเดียวกันกับข้าวตัง ดูเฟิร์สให้ค่ากับเรื่องความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพื่อนมากทีเดียว
“ถ้าพูดอย่างนั้นก็ไม่เชิงซะทีเดียว แต่อาจเป็นเพราะข้าวตัง เฟิร์สก็เลยให้ค่า เพราะมันอยู่ด้วยกันมานานหลายปี เข้าใจและรู้ทุกเรื่องราวในชีวิต คือแค่อยู่ข้างๆ มันก็สบายใจ อย่างน้อยเราก็ยังรู้ว่า มีหนึ่งคนคอยอยู่ข้างๆ เราเสมอ”
เราเลยไม่แน่ใจว่า ข้าวตังเชื่อและมีความคิดเรื่องความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพื่อนแบบเดียวกับที่
เฟิร์สพูดมากน้อยแค่ไหน
“เราเชื่อในมิตรภาพที่มีให้กัน เชื่อในความสวยงามของความสัมพันธ์นี้ แต่อาจไม่ได้มั่นใจ 100% ว่า สามารถเป็นให้เขาได้ดีที่สุดหรือเปล่า แต่เราทำทุกวันนี้ให้ประทับใจและน่าจดจำที่สุด แค่นั้นผมว่า คำว่าเพื่อนมันก็สมบูรณ์ในแบบที่มันควรจะเป็นแล้วครับ”

‘The Eclipse’ with All Shining Acting Skills & the Relationship of ‘First-Khaotung’
In a society where the bright light of the new generation starts to subdue, there is a series that puts a spotlight on them to shine brightly. The series also made its lead actors the talk of the town about their acting. Here, we’re talking about ‘First – Kanaphan Puitrakul’ and ‘Khaotung – Thanawat Rattanakitpaisan’ from ‘The Eclipse’ who have gracefully brought ‘Akk’ and ‘Aryan’ to the public eyes.
This graceful journey seemed to have accumulated interesting stories along the way. I asked both actors to cast the light on the past stories through a reflection on themselves, their characters, and their performance, including their friend who became their acting partner. I could say that it’s so profound and meaningful that you may unconsciously fall in love with this couple of friends.
Friend Actors
Since they had been working with ‘Akk’ and ‘Ayan’ for almost a year, we assumed that the characters must have something to tell their actors. I asked First and Khaotung to pretend to be ‘Akk’ and ‘Ayan’ to answer this question. Khaotung closed his eyes first to get into Ayan. The following lines are Ayan’s words which you can imagine being spoken in his voice as you please.
“The last queue that I shot with you, it was still crystal clear in my mind. The feeling remains unwavering. We will never see each other again and I appreciate what you did. You’re one of my best friends, an actor who exerted himself to become me. I wish you a good life in which you will radiant like a dignifying sun.”
After finishing his lines, Khaotung used tissue paper to wipe off his tear. That must have been the last feeling that ‘Ayan’ would like him to convey.
It was First’s turn and he noted that this was a tough question. Eventually, First closed his eyes and got into ‘Akk’ after Khaotung had finished his lines.
“Thank you so much for making me alive and being loved by many people. I know you put your heart into it. You were happy to be me from the beginning till the end. Remember this determination and willingness to make it even better in your next projects. I’ll always root for you.”
Next, I asked them which schools ‘Akk’ and ‘Ayan’ would pursue in college. This is an open question to let them express their imagination freely. Khaotung said, “It should be some schools about fine arts and drawing”. First answered, “Absolutely, it would be Politics and Public Administration.”
After we had already deciphered the school life of ‘Akk’ and ‘Ayan’, I asked them to reflect on one lesson they had learned from ‘The Eclipse’. First went first that, regarding the life aspect, it was about acceptance and not putting too much pressure on himself. That what was Akk were trying to tell. In addition to that, it was “an understanding. I’ve got to understand what the real acting is, so I can get a better understanding of characters in my future projects.”
For Khaotung, he quoted a line said by Ayan to Akk at the beach scene, “Can you stop caring about others?” From this, he reflected that “Just do whatever you want. If it doesn’t trouble anyone. In the past, I used to care too much about what people thought of me and it pressured me. Thus, I’ll live my happy life the way I want it to be, in my own way. That’s it.”
Friends’ Books
Another interesting topic is that Khaotung loves reading and he always gives books as a present to others. He gave ‘The Little Prince’ Green, his vocal coach, ‘De Profundis’ to Earth and Mix, and ‘The Eclipse’ to First. The book’s gimmick is interesting that it became their next question: if they could compare their friend to a book, what kind of book would it be? Khaotung said,
“He reminds me of a Japanese manga. From his appearance, First seems like someone from a cartoon or anime. Nevertheless, when you get to know his true nature, he is like a novel that is not sweet or romantic, but when you read it, it gives you the warmth that you can keep reading it.”
When it was First’s turn to answer, he said that he couldn’t define what kind of book Khaotung was. But what is more interesting is the cover and content of the book named ‘Khaotung’.
“Based on his appearance, Khaotung is like a book with an attractive cover that is easy to read and amicable for everyone. But once you start reading it, you will find that some contents can be difficult to understand because this book is pretty unique. Therefore, you need to read it many times and spend a long time to understand it, the mindsets, or the messages that it needs to convey. It’ll take you a while to understand this book.”
Some books must be handled with caution and care. First said what he needed to be careful of when he had Khaotung around is his blunt words. Sometimes, because of their closeness, he could be too blunt without considering the other’s feelings. In Khaotung’s case, it is about his self-centeredness. Sometimes, he might go too far when he is with his close ones. First always experienced this side of Khaotung that he blurted out in the middle of the conversation, “Would you like me to list out what his centeredness is?”
Khaotung just smiled at what First said and I think it would a good idea to just leave it at that.
Dear Friends
First considered friendship as a relationship that requires no effort. Just do it well every single day. Be yourself and find no need to push yourself to make the other comfortable. That was what he once tweeted this quote to Khaotung. Also, he even mentioned in a TV show that they went out together that if possible, he would like to build a house and share the same fences with Khaotung. It seemed like First profoundly valued friendship.
“It isn’t entirely accurate. It may be because of Khaotung that it becomes valuable. We’ve been together for several years. We understand and know everything about each other’s life. Just having him next to me makes me comfortable. At least, I know that this person will always stay beside me.”
Here, I wasn’t sure how Khaotung believed or thought about friendship as First said earlier.
“We believe in our friendship and the beauty of it. I may not be 100% certain if I can be the best friend for him, but we try to make every day the most impressive and memorable. I think that what makes our friendship perfect as it’s supposed to be”
After Khaotung finished his answer, ‘First – Khaotung’ embraced each other without being given any instructions. The relationship between them and their friends ‘Akk – Ayan’ will engrave in the memories of the audience for a long time.
