บทสัมภาษณ์กึ่งเรื่องสั้น ‘คุณมังกร-คุณใหญ่’ กับความรู้สึกข้างในจริงๆ ของคนทั้งคู่

เข้ามาในผับ SUNRISE แล้วรู้สึกเกร็งๆ อยู่ไม่น้อย ไม่รู้เพราะบารมีสถานที่ที่ดูโอ่โถงรองรับผู้คนมากหน้าหลายตาหรือเพราะบุคคลที่เราจะมาเจอพวกเขาวันนี้กันแน่ เพราะพวกเขาทั้งสองต่างขึ้นชื่อว่า ไม่ถูกกันมาตั้งแต่ไหนแต่ไร แต่สุดท้ายกลับกลายมาเป็นรักได้อย่างไรไม่รู้ นั่นคือสิ่งที่เราสงสัยและมาค้นหาคำตอบไปพร้อมๆ กันกับพวกเขาถึงที่นี่
ชายหนุ่มทั้ง 2 คนเสร็จจากเซ็ตถ่ายแฟชั่น แล้วรีบบึ่งตรงเข้ามาพูดคุยกับเราตามเวลาที่นัดกันไว้เป๊ะๆ คนหนึ่งดูภูมิฐานสมชื่อ ‘มังกร-อาคิราห์ ชิษณุพงศ์กุล’ จนเหมือนเราตัวลีบเล็กลงไปโดยปริยาย ส่วนอีกคน เอาจริงๆ เราไม่รู้ว่าเขาจะมาทีท่าไหน แต่ขึ้นชื่อว่า ‘ใหญ่-อลังการ สิงหวัฒนะโชค’ แล้ว การันตีได้ว่า เขาต้องมีอะไรเซอร์ไพรส์เราแน่นอน
แก้วที่ 1: ตัวตน
ไม่พูดพร่ำทำเพลง เราให้ทั้งคู่ผ่อนคลายด้วยเครื่องดื่มที่สั่งจากค็อกเทล เลานจ์ ซึ่งบาร์เทนเดอร์บรรจงรังสรรค์เครื่องให้ทั้งสอง จนเราแอบกลืนน้ำลายเอื้อกและจินตนาการถึงรสชาติแก้วที่อยู่ตรงหน้า แต่ด้วยหน้าที่ของคนสัมภาษณ์ งานต้องมาก่อนดื่มเสมอ เราเลยอดคิดไม่ได้ว่า สิ่งที่เขาดื่มกับสิ่งที่เขาเป็นบุคลิกน่าจะมีความคล้ายกันอยู่ โดยคุณมังกรเหมือนจะได้ยินความคิดเราก่อน เลยเปิดบทสนทนาได้น่าสนใจว่า
“หลายคนมองว่า ผมเป็นเครื่องดื่มมึนเมา แต่แท้จริงแล้ว ผมคือน้ำเปล่า น้ำธรรมดา น้ำที่ไม่มีอะไรเลย ซึ่งหลายคนมองว่า มันดูธรรมดาไปหรือไม่ แต่ความธรรมดานี่แหละที่ทำให้มนุษย์เรามีชีวิตอยู่ได้และดื่มได้ตลอดไป ผมว่าผมเป็นน้ำเปล่านะ”
คุณใหญ่วางแก้วค็อกเทลลงแล้วพูดต่อถึงเครื่องดื่มที่สื่อถึงคาแร็คเตอร์ตัวเอง “ถ้าเป็นผม ผมคงเป็นแชมเปญมั้งครับ มองเข้าไปดูมีความสดใส แต่รสชาติมันล้ำลึกและมีอะไรคาดไม่ถึง แม้ภาพลักษณ์มันอาจจะดูไม่มีพิษภัย แต่ใครที่ได้ลองจะแอบติดใจโดยไม่รู้ตัว และผมว่ามันเป็นเครื่องดื่มที่เซ็กซี่มาก”
เราเชื่อแล้วจากน้ำเสียงที่คุณใหญ่ตอบกลับมา โดยคุณใหญ่ยังเสริมอีกว่า ตัวเขาค่อนข้างรักคุณค่าในตัวเอง ชอบทุกอย่างที่เป็นตัวเอง และมีอิสระที่จะใช้ชีวิตในแบบที่ตัวเองเป็น ส่วนคุณมังกรก็ไม่น้อยหน้า บอกว่า ชอบความตั้งใจและความพยายามให้ถึงที่สุด แม้ผลลัพธ์มันจะได้เพียงแค่เศษเสี้ยวเดียว ก็จะรู้สึกดีใจที่ได้ทำมันออกมา แต่สำหรับเรื่องตัวตนในบางครั้ง ก็ต้องใช้คนอื่นเป็นกระจกสะท้อนมองตัวเองเข้ามา แล้วถ้าให้ไปถามเพื่อนหรือคนที่สนิทกับทั้งคู่จริงๆ เราควรต้องระวังด้านไหนของคุณใหญ่และคุณมังกร
“สำหรับผมคือ คำพูดและน้ำเสียง” คุณใหญ่ตอบแทบจะในทันทีทันใด “เพราะจริงๆ เป็นคนที่พูดแบบนี้ตลอด ราบเรียบแต่แฝงไปด้วยดีเทล ถ้าในการทำงาน หลายๆ คนจะสัมผัสได้ถึงจุดนี้ แต่ถ้ามีน้ำโหหรือมีอารมณ์ขึ้นมา ก็อาจพูดตะคอกบ้าง แต่ผมว่าน้อยครั้งมากนะที่ทำแบบนั้น”
คุณมังกรนิ่งคิดถึงคำตอบนี้อยู่นานก่อนกล่าวออกมาว่า “ผมว่าตัวผมไม่น่ามีนะครับ ผมไม่ได้เป็นคนอันตรายถึงขนาดนั้น แต่ผมขอเตือนคนที่เข้ามาหาผมแล้วกัน ผมไม่ชอบคนหักหน้า เพราะผมรู้สึกว่า มันคือมารยาทพื้นฐานที่ทุกคนควรมีในการให้เกียรติซึ่งกันและกัน”
แก้วที่ 2: ความสัมพันธ์
ยอมรับว่า ยิ่งคุยยิ่งเครื่องติด จากที่ถามคำถามเรื่องตัวตน เราเลยโยนคำถามไปว่า ชอบหรือไม่ชอบอะไรในตัวอีกฝั่ง เปลี่ยนโพสิชั่นนิ่งกันบ้าง คุณใหญ่เผลอหลุดยิ้มออกมา ไม่รู้ว่าเขาถูกใจคำถามของเราหรือกำลังนึกเรื่องอะไรอยู่ เขาเลยขอตอบคำถามนี้ก่อน
“เขามีส่วนน่ารักเยอะนะครับ แต่ที่โดดเด่นออกมาเลยคือ ความจริงใจ อยู่ด้วยแล้วสบายใจ ไม่ต้องทำตัวสมบูรณ์แบบตลอดเวลา ผมไม่ชอบคนที่เอาปัญหาทุกอย่างไว้ที่ตัวเอง ไม่ชอบคนที่เก็บความลับ ชอบคนที่เปิดใจกับเราทุกเรื่องจริงๆ ยิ่งมารู้ทีหลัง ผมจะโกรธมาก ผมเลยมีเขาเป็นเหมือนบ้านที่ทำให้ผมรู้สึกอบอุ่นเสมอ”
คุณมังกรเหมือนพยักหน้าเห็นด้วย และสบทบคำพูดเพิ่มเติมต่อจากคุณใหญ่ว่า “ผมเองก็ชอบที่เขาเห็นเราเป็นเราจริงๆ นะ แล้วเขาก็รู้ว่า เราต้องการสิ่งใด เหมือนรู้ใจกันประมาณหนึ่ง แต่อยากบอกเขาเหมือนกันว่า บางอย่างอย่าหุนหันพลันแล่นเกินไป ลองประเมินและมองให้รอบด้านก่อนตัดสินใจ”
“คุณเป็นคนบูชาความรักไหมคุณใหญ่” คำถามที่โยนไปกลางวง กลายเป็นความนิ่งสงัด เหมือนคุณใหญ่เองก็ทบทวนคำถามนี้ก่อนตอบออกมาด้วยสีหน้าจริงจัง “ถามตรงๆ ผมก็จะตอบแบบตรงๆ ผมเป็นคนวิ่งตามหาความรัก ผมเป็นคนที่ต้องการการยอมรับ ผมอยากเป็นที่หนึ่งและได้รับความสนใจจากผู้คน ผมรู้สึกว่าในหัวใจคนเรา มักจะมีรูอยู่รูหนึ่ง ซึ่งนั่นอยากทำให้ผมอยากหาอะไรก็ได้มาแปะรูนั้นให้เต็ม ผมเลยค่อนข้างให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องนี้”
เราขยี้เข้าไปอีกว่า “แล้วคนข้างๆ คุณเติมเต็มรูนั้นได้หรือไม่” คุณใหญ่บอกว่า ความรักจะเป็นใครก็ได้ ซึ่งตัวเขาเองคิดว่า น่าจะเป็นไปได้ เพราะเขาอบอุ่นและทำให้รู้สึกปลอดภัย
ถามคุณใหญ่มาเยอะ คราวนี้ถึงตาคุณมังกรแล้ว นิยามความรักของคุณเหมือนกับคุณใหญ่หรือไม่ เขาบอกว่า รักคือรอยยิ้มจากข้างใน “เราอาจจะไม่ยิ้มแสดงออกมา แต่เรามีความสุขมากเลยที่ได้อยู่กับเขา ความรักของผมมันเลยเป็นการยิ้มจากข้างใน ต่อให้เขารักหรือไม่รักเรา แต่ถ้าเรารัก มันก็มีความสุขและยิ้มได้แล้ว”
เราอยากเห็นรอยยิ้มที่คุณมังกรส่งให้ถึงคุณใหญ่ แต่คุณมังกรบอกว่า ขอเก็บรอยยิ้มนี้ไว้ให้คุณใหญ่ดูคนเดียว ซึ่งก็เป็นเรื่องที่คนสัมภาษณ์อย่างเราเข้าใจได้ถึงความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งคู่ว่า ลึกซึ้งแค่ไหน
แก้วที่ 3: การเรียนรู้และ “มอส-แบงค์”
ก่อนที่คุณใหญ่จะไปเปิดผับและคุณมังกรจะไปออกแบบรีโนเวทร้านต่อ เราเลยถามพวกเขากลับไปด้วย 2 คำถามใหญ่ด้วยกัน คุณคิดว่าคุณได้บทเรียนอะไรจากการใช้ชีวิตแบบนี้ คุณมังกรบอกก่อนเลยว่า การซื่อสัตย์กับตัวเอง “เพราะผมเชื่อว่าเมื่อเราซื่อสัตย์กับตัวเองแล้ว มันจะนำพาให้ชีวิตของเราไปในทิศทางที่ถูกที่ควรมากขึ้น เพราะตัวผมเองเชื่อเรื่องกฎแรงดึงดูดเหมือนกัน เมื่อเราเป็นอย่างไร คนที่คล้ายๆ เราก็จะเข้ามาหาเรา บางครั้งอาจนำไปสู่ความรักที่คาดไม่ถึงก็ได้”
“ของผมคือความกล้า” คุณใหญ่ดื่มแก้วที่อยู่ตรงหน้าจนหมดก่อนพูดต่อ “กล้าทำในสิ่งที่ตัวเองคิด ไม่รู้ว่ามันจะถูกหรือเปล่า แต่ถ้าเราไม่ลอง ก็ไม่รู้อยู่ดี เพราะเมื่อก่อนเราอาจพลาดสิ่งดีๆ ไปเป็นร้อยครั้ง เพราะไม่กล้าลอง หรือลองไปร้อยครั้งแล้วเหนื่อย ดังนั้น ขออย่าได้ละความกล้าที่จะลองหรือพยายาม เพราะไม่แน่ว่า ครั้งที่หนึ่งร้อยเอ็ด เราก็อาจจะประสบความสำเร็จก็ได้”
มีคนเรียกตัวคุณมังกรและคุณใหญ่แล้ว ทั้งคู่เริ่มจัดเสื้อแสงและเตรียมที่จะลุก เราเลยขอหัวข้อนี้เป็นคำถามสุดท้าย คิดว่าตัวของมอสหรือแบงค์เอง เขาทำหน้าที่แสดงเป็นคุณได้ดีแล้วหรือยัง ทั้งคู่แทบจะยิ้มและหัวเราะออกมาพร้อมกัน
“คิดว่าดีแล้วนะครับ” คุณใหญ่เปิดก่อน “เพราะว่าไม่น่ามีใครรู้เรื่องของผมเยอะเท่ากับเขาแล้ว มันเหมือนเป็นร่างโคลนนิ่งกันไปแล้ว ก็เลยรู้สึกว่า สิ่งที่เรารู้สึกและสิ่งที่เขาเข้าใจ ตอนนี้ซิงก์กันได้แทบจะ 100 เปอร์เซ็นต์แล้ว”
“ไม่แน่ใจว่าเขาเป็นได้ดีหรือยัง” คุณมังกรขมวดคิ้วนิดๆ ก่อนเล่าความคิดที่เหลือ “แต่น่าจะเป็นได้ดีที่สุดแล้ว เพราะมังกรคือภาพแทนมนุษย์คนหนึ่งเท่านั้น และผมคิดว่า เขาสื่อความเป็นผมออกมาได้เต็มที่แล้ว มันอาจจะถูกหรือผิดก็ได้ ผมให้อิสระเขาในการตีความ ซึ่งมันก็อาจจะดีที่สุด ณ เวลานั้นสำหรับเขาแล้วก็ได้ ที่สร้างผมให้เป็นตัวเป็นตนขึ้นมา”
ทั้งคู่ขยับตัวออกจากเก้าอี้และเดินออกจากผับไป โดยทิ้งให้ผับ SUNRISE เป็นฉากเบื้องหลังชีวิตของพวกเขา ที่จะยังคงเปิดดำเนินกิจการต่อไป พร้อมๆ กับความสัมพันธ์ของคุณมังกรและคุณใหญ่ที่ค่อยๆ เติบโตขึ้นอย่างมั่นคง ซึ่งสามารถดูชีวิตและความรักของพวกเขาทั้ง 2 คนแบบเต็มอิ่มย้อนหลังได้บนแอป iQIYI และเว็บไซต์ iQ.com
From Rivals to Lovers
A short-story interview with ‘Mangkorn-Yai’ and their real feelings towards each other

When we entered SUNRISE pub, we felt a little bit nervous probably because of the elegance of the reception, the crowd, or the people we are meeting today. They’re both well-known for their rival relationship which had unexpectedly turned into a questionable romantic one. That is what makes us wonder and brought us here to find the answer together with both of them.
Both of them just finished their photo shoot and rushed here to chat with us at the exact scheduled time. One looked dignified as his name ‘Mangkorn-Akira Chitsanupongkul’ automatically made us feel small. The other one, we couldn’t really sense how he was, but since his name was ‘Yai-Alangkan Singhawatthanachok’, it kind of guaranteed that he would certainly have something to surprise us.
1st Glass: Identity
No need for an introduction, I tried to make them relaxed with the drinks from the Cocktail Lounge. The bartender had delicately created a drink for both of them that made me mouthwatering while imagining the taste of the glass in front of me. Nevertheless, duty must come first. Based on the drinks, it made me wonder if their drinks had something similar to their personalities. Mangkorn seemed to hear my thought so he started the conversation with something interesting,
“Most people expect me to drink some alcoholic drinks. Actually, I’d go for still water, plain and simple. And many may think it sounds too simple, but the simplicity is what keeps us alive and carries on drinking forever. I think I’m only water.”
Yai put his cocktail down and carried on with the conversation about the drink that would represent his character. “If I were to choose, I think it would be the champagne. It looks vivid but gives a complicated and unexpected taste. The appearance may seem not innocuous, but it can be addictive after a try. I think it’s a very sexy drink.”
From his voice, I totally agreed with his explanation. He even added that he pretty much valued his self-worth. He liked everything about himself and was free to live the way he wanted. Mangkorn also added his part that he liked determination and perseverance. Even if it resulted in only fractions of success, he would still be happy that he had tried. But for his identity, sometimes he needs someone else to reflect on himself. In case that I was about to ask your friends or close ones, what would they warn me to be aware of when being with you?
“For me, my voice and tone”, Yai immediately replied. “This is how I always speak: flat but full of details. When I work, many people can feel it. If I’m angry or snapped, I may shout sometimes. But I believe it rarely happens.”
Mangkorn pondered the question for a while before saying, “I don’t think I have that side. I’m not that dangerous. But let me warn those who approach me that I don’t like people who belittle others, I think it’s a basic manner that everyone should comply in respecting each other”
2nd Glass: Relationship
We have to admit that the more we talked, the smoother the conversation became. From the first question about their identity, I asked the next question about what they like or dislike about each other. Let’s see from a different perspective. Yai smirked. I wasn’t sure if he was finding my question pleasant or thinking about other things. He answered first.
“He has many lovely sides. But what is outstanding is his sincerity. It feels comfortable when you’re with him. There is no need to always be perfect. I don’t like a person who keeps all their problems or secrets to themselves. I like a person who opens up to me about everything. If I find things out later, I’ll be really mad. So, he is like a home to me: a place that always makes me feel warm.”
Mangkorn nodded in agreement and added his comments after Yai’s, “I like that he sees the real me, too. He knows what I want. We can read each other minds at a certain level. But I also want to tell him that for some matters, don’t be impetuous, evaluate and observe first before making any decision.”
“Yai, do you worship love?” the question turned the conversation into silence. Yai pondered the questions before answering with serious expression, “If you ask me directly, I’ll answer you directly. I’m like the one who chases for love. I wanted to be accepted, to be number one, and to gain people’s attention. I think there is a hole in people’s hearts and I want to have something to fill up that hole. It’s quite a matter to me.”
I asked for elaboration, “How about the person next to you? Is he the one who fills up that hole?” Yai said love can be anyone. And he thought it was possible because he was warm and made me feel safe.
I’d asked Yai a lot of questions, it was Mangkorn’s turn. What is your love definition? Is it similar to Yai’s? He said love is a smile from the inside. “I may not expressively smile, but I’m really happy to be with him. That’s why my love is a smile from the inside. Whether he loves me or not, if I love him, it makes me happy and smiles.”
I wanted to see that smile Mangkorn had for Yai, but he said, he would like to keep the smile for Yai only. That made me, an interviewer, understood how deep their relationship was.
3rd Glass: Learning and “Mos-Bank”
Before Yai went to open the pub and Mangkorn went to continue with the pub renovation design, I asked them another two big questions: what lessons had you got from this kind of life? Mangkorn answered first that being honest with himself, “Because I believe that when we’re honest with ourselves, it will lead to the right and appropriate direction. Sometimes, I believe in the law of attraction, too. How we are will attract similar kinds of people to us. Sometimes, it may lead to unexpected love.”
“Mine is courage.” Yai finished his drink in front of him before continuing, “Courage to do what I think, whether it’s right or wrong, but if we never try, we’ll never know. In the past, we may have missed many good things a hundred times because we didn’t dare to try them out, or had tried a hundred times but were too exhausted to carry on. Hence, please don’t give up your courage to try or put an effort to try. Because you may succeed it in the 101st time.”
Somebody called out for Mangkorn and Yai. Both of them started to adjust their clothes and were ready to leave. I shot the last question about what they think about Mos or Bank. Did they represent both of you well as an actor? Both of them smiled and laughed simultaneously.
“I think it’s good” Yai started first. “Because nobody knows about me as much as he does. It’s like my clone, so I feel that what I feel and what he understands. We’re synced almost 100%.”
“Not sure if he did well enough.” Mangkorn slightly frowned before elaborating on the rest of his thought. “But it may be the best version of him. Because Mangkorn is only a portrait of a human being. And I think he has done his best of expressing the ‘me’. There is no right or wrong. He is free to interpret, which may be the best, at that moment for him, in shaping my character.”
Both got out of the chair and walked out of the pub, leaving SUNRISE as a background of their lives. The pub is running along with the relationship between Mangkorn and Yai that keeps stably growing.
